Okay, before you call child services on me, hear me out!
How many of you ladies like to sit there and watch your children like a hawk while they brush? I thought as much. None of us like to do it and it hardly yields satisfying results..at least in my household it doesn't. Often I end up brushing the child's teeth myself. Which, the whole idea is to encourage good hygiene and taking care of one's body...not having Mom do it all the time.
However, neither do I want my children's teeth rotting out of their heads. What is a mother to do?
Enlist the help of a sibling! I have my sons brush the sides of each other's teeth to get those hard to reach areas. They have fun and keep their teeth sparkling. There is also the competition factor about whose teeth are actually cleaner...more motivating than a trip to the dentist! :)
Not brushing my kids' teeth works for me!

I have never thought of this but I believe this may be the perfect solution for us and our 3 boys. Thank you for sharing.
This is a fantastic idea! I can't believe I hadn't thought of it. My kids usually chew on their toothbrushes if I don't do it for them, which of course ruins the toothbrush. I hope they don't figure out that they can gag each other that way because I could easily see them doing that to each other for a laugh.
Thanks for stopping by my blog, I loved your idea so much that after replying to your comment to tell you so, I decided to add it as my #40 and link to your blog. Thank you so much for sharing!
Great thought!!! I have recently been letting my oldest daughter brush my toddlers teeth. So far, so good.

The competition idea is a great one! I think i'll try that with my daughters.
Great idea!
I just noticed your book reading list.
My brother-and-law recently let me borrow Dead Heat by Joel Rosenberg. I hadn't heard of him before. I LOVED it! Amazing. I loved the Left Behind Series. But this was so fascinating as events before the Rapture. I haven't read the previous books in this series. Would you say I would likely still enjoy them having read the latest?
Also...Intimate Issues! HAVE IT! Read it many years back and found it to be so helpful. I want my oldest daughter to read it now. Don't know if you've read, but she is pregnant. I've kept that book waiting for the day for her to read it. I figured it would be when she was engaged. Just did not anticpate her being pregnat first.

Heh, that's cute! As the daughter of a dentist, I'm one of those freaks who enjoys brushing and flossing my 3 year old's teeth. LOL This is a great idea for those who don't!
