Perfection

Seven. The number of perfection.

That's how many years Mr. Querido and I have been married on this day.

It seems so short and yet feels like we have been together forever already.

We have been through so many ups and downs and the loops that life has thrown at us. But we have been through them together, side by side. Partners...for life.

Our marriage motto is: We are committed to being committed even if it gets us committed! And so, yes, there are the days wherein we drive each other crazy with our oppositeness, but we are committed to the covenant relationship we entered into seven years ago.

We got married at a courthouse with a justice of the peace. That type of marriage "ceremony" is all about efficiency and the romance is lost amidst the officiality of it all. We didn't even get to say our vows. Just sign on the dotted line.

As I think back to that day, I have to laugh at how I had no idea what I was getting myself into! But I am so glad I glad that I got into it!

I love him for everything he is and does. And I can truly say that I love him more today than I did on the day I became his wife.

So today we celebrate being perfected in Christ as a couple. And we eagerly anticipate with joy the perfecting process as we are molded, side by side, into holy vessels by the Potter's hands.
