Remodeling Round Up...Sorta

Yeehaw y'all, it's time for Remodeling Guy's Remodeling Round Up!
I cannot take any credit for what you are about to see.

My beloved hubby has been the busy beaver on this project.

He has turned it from ugly, unfunctional, wasted space into....
A room.

More specifically, it will be our family/schoolroom.

He is amazing! (Uh..no I don't have him sleeping out there. We just moved the spare bed from the music room. Where it was serving as a low couch. Oh yes, we are creative. It will probably serve the same purpose in its new home.)

And he is driven. He has gotten this far in a little over a month. He has done everything except some of the electrical and some of the drywall hanging. Why suffer (possibly maim yourself or blow up your house) when you have a neighbor who is a professional electrician? Why torture yourself (with a pitiful drill) when you have friends who hang drywall for a living (and who brought their totally awesome tools of the trade)?

No, we haven't started painting yet. That will be my contribution. This green is just leftovers from a fit of insanity I had after looking at the dirty, disgusting garage wall that used to be there.

My man knows how to bust out a room! I can't wait for the finished result. But alas, I will have to show that off at a later time because I can't make him work any faster.
What, did you think I was a slave driver?
Git along little doggie.. (how would you spell that anyway?)

I found you through the Remodeling Guy. Don't worry - I am with you for the under dressed part. I was so buy with my week that I didn't even get started on my intended project except for making it look worse. :)
Fun to find a fellow believer -
and I am coveting that future school room. In a totally Godly way, of course. :)

I did hear about your sis! I didn't know if I could post it...but so exiting! I am ecstatic for her. I hope she will be able to come down for a visit after the baby is born. I have keep seeing her with a boy. But my hunch might change once she is further along in the pregnancy. = )

This room is going to be so great when it's finished! I know this is the tough part though..all the dust and "unfinishedness".

Hey, thanks for your sweet comment. I had to let you know that the pictures I posted of the living room were actually the realtor photos from when I was selling the house. The living room only looked pristine because I'd spent the previous 2 weeks killing myself to clean up fingerprints, dust bunnies, random shoes tucked into corners, etc., etc. I promise you we don't live that way! In fact just the other day, I found one of my son's dirty socks in the couch...seriously! What is that?!

Have a great day!
