In my junk mail this week came the JCPenney catalog detailing their latest sale. I was perusing said catalog when I came across this..
12 person place setting plate set $59.98
15-piece pot and pan set $68.88 (AFTER $30 mail in rebate...$38.88)!
I can have 12 people over and have enough beautiful plates for EVERYONE!!! Yipee! (It's the small joys in life!)

Gorgeous, no? *sigh* For six years I have been eating off of these..
And cooking with these (may I also mention that my mother had these pots and pans before she had me!)...
Which is not to say that I haven't been grateful to be eating off of and cooking out of them, but it was definitely time for a change! Mr. Querido and I are not "country chic" and so those dishes definitely did not go with us. Plus, ANYTHING looks good in these new beautiful bowls. And presentation is half of a good meal, right?
Now I just need to work on my flatware...I think I only have four forks...lol!

Wow, that is awesome! I'm so jealous! Food really does look better when presented on white plates. That's what the "professionals" say, anyway. And you'll find that most restaurants serve on white plates, too.
Plus, you can decorate around these plates with colorful placemats, napkins, glassware, etc., changing the look with every season. I LOVE white dishes and kinda wish I hadn't gotten rid of mine. *sigh*
